Despite the rumblings of internal rows behind the scenes ahead of the Olympics closing ceremony (and not to mention over the decades), Geri Halliwell has said that all the members of the group still very much “love” and “respect” each other.

She’s posed in Hello! magazine in her bikini to mark her 40th birthday – and presumably to show off how good she looks all at the same time – where she’s revealed:

“No matter what’s happened in the past, we [the Spice Girls] love and accept each other. I always laugh most when I'm around them.”

The ‘singer’ added that when she celebrated her big day earlier this month all the girls of the group came together and it was just like the old days:

“The girls were very sweet and made me feel special. There was a cake, lovely presents – and elegant, pretty necklace – and singing of course.”

Singing, yes that’s what they’re infamous for after all. Gezza also added a bit about her love life, admitting she does have a man at the moment however its early days so she won’t reveal too much.

“I'm not going into details. Right now there's nothing serious. I was a late starter on the romantic front. I didn't start dating until I was in my 30s.

“I quite like having somebody to cuddle. I like that intimacy, it would be wonderful.”
