Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie head on holiday in the Lake District
Having spent most of last summer and this summer in the UK with their brood, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are practically British and like many Brits in these tough economic times the couple are forgoing a costly family holiday abroad in favour of a staycation.
Of course, unlike most Brits they’re actually American, are world famous movie stars and have millions of pounds in the bank – nevertheless they’re still planning to have a vacation with the children in the Lake District.
During a few days off from filming the two plan to take their family to Lake Windermere, a source close to them said:
'Originally, [Angelina’s] film was supposed to be shooting close to the Lakes, but relocated to a more convenient spot close to Pinewood studios.
‘They’d already booked a few days off though, and they didn’t want the kids to miss out on their trip up to the Lakes, so they decided to go anyway.’
'Brad has rented out an entire boathouse, and the couple have been looking up some local restaurants to dine at whilst there. They’re also planning a day of quad biking for the kids – and Brad.'
Is this source someone from the tourist board in the Lake District by any chance?
Anyway, this isn’t the first mini break the Jolie-Pitt clan have been on recently; over the Bank Holiday weekend they jetted to France for a few days.
