Cheryl Cole on X Factor return: “I’m doing it for Gary Barlow, not Simon Cowell!”
Those who thought all had been forgiven between Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell should think again after hearing this comment by the singer directed at the music mogul.
She filmed scenes for the judges houses stage of X Factor UK over the weekend alongside Gary Barlow, but when Simon Cowell took to Twitter to ‘welcome’ her back to the show she was obviously slightly agitated. So, she hit back saying:
“I saw Simon’s tweet. I’m not doing this for him. I am doing this for Gary as he’s my friend and he asked me to do it.”
Well that told him didn’t it? It was originally suggested that Robbie Williams would be helping Gary make his decisions during the Judges’ Houses stage, however now its thought he’ll play a mentoring role later in the series. A source told The Sun today:
“Robbie will still have a role to play and an important one at that. Gary hasn’t snubbed him, quite the opposite”
“Robbie will be working with the guys during the live shows to help them work on stage presence and vocal performance. He had a blast on the show last year when he was Gary’s sidekick at the Los Angeles judges’ houses round and wants back in.”
