‘Teen Mom’ star, Amber Portwood attempts suicide again

After being locked up over the holidays, Amber Portwood seems to have spiraled back into depression.  Apparently, she is now once again on suicide watch.  This seems to be yet another step in the series of unfortunate events that make up Amber Potwood’s hectic life since being starred on Teen Mom.

In another sad twist in her life since finding fame ‘Teen Mom’ star Amber Portwood was rushed to an Indiana ER this morning following a possible suicide attempt.

The 21-year old was found unconscious at her home around mid-day with a rope around her neck and was transported to St. Johns Hospital in Anderson, Indiana for treatment. She later admitted to staff she had also swallowed a mixture of pills.

Amber’s part-time boyfriend, Gary Shirley spoke to Amber this morning by phone and grew concerned at her state of mind. His mother later visited Amber’s home, found her slumped on the couch and raised the alarm.

“It’s believed she may have taken an overdose of some kind,” a source tells Radar. “She also may have tried to tie a piece of rope around her neck.”

Once at the ER, Portwood’s condition was soon stabilized and she regained consciousness.

This is just the latest event in a life blighted by trouble – Last week Amber pleaded guilty on two counts of domestic battery which were caught on tape by MTV, but she was spared jail in return for a deal.

In conjunction with serving two years probation she’s now required to get her high school diploma, undergo a month of inpatient treatment with a further 30-days of follow-up and form a college fund for daughter Leah, which must include not less than $10,00 of her own money.
